Introducing our easy going, gentle giant, Lucy, ready to meet her forever family!
Believed to be border collie /lab mix, she weighs in at 13 lbs at 9 weeks old (3/11/18).
So, she will be a big girl, and is probably mixed with a larger breed like Newfoundland.
Being fostered in a home with 4 children, she has definitely learned what being loved and cared for is all about.
Loving attention from her humans, she always wants to be by them and asks for belly rubs.
She loves playing with her toys, and is sweet and willing to share them with the other dogs.
Her foster family describes her as a "tomboy".
She is active, athletic, and would enjoy some agility classes.
With her friendly and social disposition, she will greet everyone with her wagging curly tail.
Good news--Lucy is almost housebroken with very few accidents.
LOVING to be outside, a fenced in yard is preferred but not required.
She loves to be with the resident dog and respects the cats space, so does great with both.
She settles in nicely in her crate at bedtime and sleeps through the night.
Someone is always home with her, so she has not been crated during the day.
An active family, that could include her in activities and keep her busy, would be a great match.
Lucy will need someone willing to devote the time and energy, that a puppy needs.
Someone will need to be home most of the day to continue her socialization and training.
The adoption fee of $450.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we do the best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can make no guarantee. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
